Industry Insights: Power, Protest & Participation

How might graphic design be used to stabilise or dissent, provoke political action and empower communities? Can graphic design shape or even dictate politics? Are graphic designers effective activists?

This Industry Insights event co-hosted by the Graphic Communication Design Programme at Central Saint Martins is an opportunity to explore some of the core themes emerging from our exhibition Hope to Nope: Graphics & Politics 2008-2018.

Featuring talks and provocations from designers whose work is included in the exhibition and a special introduction from the show’s curatorial team, this event aims to open up new ways of thinking about and engaging graphic design as a tool for power, protest & participation.
