Noah Campeau

I am a designer and director working in moving image.

The Graphic design course at UWE allowed me to explore design without restrictions on format and delivery, whilst learning fundamental rules and how to approach briefs conceptually. By my final major project, I had very much found my feet in a world of video and installation.

Since graduating in 2012 I have worked at an array of Studios in London and Melbourne, Australia. My first out of University was an internship at design studio Hello Charlie London. This is a really important time for anyone, the transition between University and your first job can be daunting. At Hello Charlie I was given time to open up creatively and progress technically.

2 years later I went onto work at award winning studio, Browns. Moving image was fairly new territory for them and I was the first full time motion designer to join the studio. The first project I worked on was a brand refresh for global insurance company, Hiscox. My role was to develop and animate the brands new moving assets and motion guidelines. The studio delivers a very conceptual approach and a fresh aesthetic across all of its cultural and corporate projects, I learnt a huge amount at this studio.

I have been freelancing since leaving Browns over 2 years ago. I have now become a regular designer and director at Treatment Studio, a multi-disciplinary design practice for visual content. More recently I have been taking on projects which have offered me more of a director’s role, the step up in responsibility and ownership over my work has been very fulfilling. In my time at Treatment I have worked across the globe with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Louis Vuitton, U2, Elton John and Queen.
