Jamie BurnsThe object addresses the development of our culture’s perception of value within homes. As a society we are progressively becoming more obsessed with aesthetics because of social pressures that scare us of judgment and falling out of our social classes. Creating a fire extinguisher through the process of ceramics presents a juxtaposition between what is a necessity within our homes which provides safety, with an ornamental item that we use to please and convince our society that we have good taste and wealth.
