Rebecca Penmore

Rebecca Penmore is a graphic designer based in London. She graduated from UWE in 2012, before moving to London to join Harry Pearce’s team at Pentagram. Whilst at Pentagram she spent several years working with and learning from many of the leading figures in the design and arts community. Rebecca left Pentagram at the end of 2016 and set up independently.

Working from her studio in Deptford, Rebecca’s approach to design is rooted in research, conceptual exploration and a love of colour. Partnering with a diverse range of clients and collaborators, she is passionate about building lasting and meaningful relationships with like-minded people. Spanning a broad range of subject matter, projects are united by the philosophy that intelligent design has the power to delight, inspire, and enrich society. Her work balances detail and clarity, with warmth and intuition. Current clients include The Royal Academy of Arts, Elephant Healthcare, The RSA and Waitrose.

Alongside her everyday studio practice, Rebecca is part of Eight Years, a research platform co-founded with best-friend and fellow UWE alumni Abbie Vickress. Through workshops, zine-making and experimental interventions, they explore how design can be used for social action.
