Sidcot Exhibition Space | Opportunity
8th October 2019Sidcot School have a beautiful bright and modern space which they are offering to 3-6 creative students at UWE to exhibit some high-quality work. The notes below give a picture of what Sidcot have in mind and are keen for there to be a conversation to see how this could work well for both the school and for the artists. Exhibition Specifications
· An exhibition of high quality student work to be on show for around a 4-6 weeks in the autumn term (during September – mid December from 2020)
· An opportunity to make links with UWE and the possibility of making this an annual programme.
· Sidcot is a Quaker school and so I would be keen on the work to be selected with some links to the Quaker Values or interests (which are very broad).
· I imagine that the space would work best for 3 – 6 artists and can be cross mediums.
· We would have technician support for a day to assist students in the installation of their work.
· The show would have a Private View alongside viewing by appointment. The show would be open to the school community.
· There would also be opportunities for students to discuss their work with an invited audience or to run workshops with our students.
