Each week we will explore different processes and themes with the aim of working towards a large collaborative lino cut together. The first large print will be based around the notion of hope. These sessions are not assessed, or module related, they are something that will hopefully grow organically, allowing for a pocket of time in your week to switch off and have fun!’

Founded by Kirsty Carter and Emma Thomas, working across art direction, exhibitions, publications and digital design. The studio has established its international recognition, celebrating the collaborative work with like-minded art institutions and individuals including the Design Museum, Barbican, V&A and the 59th Venice Biennale 2022.’
Game Jams are a great way to get to grips with game creation tools, network with new people, and try something brave.
There is no pressure – simply create something new, be collaborative, have fun, and eat pizza.
To celebrate the new College of Arts, Technology and Environment (CATE) – we’re putting on an extra special GGJ where all CATE students are invited to join in, meet students from across the College and create a new game in just 48 hours.
So if you are a coding wizard, animation guru, art/illustration wonder, music/audio wrangler, 3D modelling legend, or just interested in what goes into making a game – we want you.
The majority of the jam will take place in the Foundry and Works tech spaces in F-Block on Frenchay campus from Fri 3rd – Sun 5th Feb.
All levels of experience are welcome!
Team building help will be on offer during the launch event on Friday, so you do not even need to have a group sorted.
Plus, we’re providing…
Noods Levels has just launched ‘Tracking’ – A new 8 week design course aimed at developing emerging designers professional practice.
Please see application and potential funding details below.
‘Designers will learn how to respond to briefs, solicit and engage with feedback, structure their creative process from research to concepting, define their creative identity, all the way to handing over final assets. Additionally, guest speakers offer insight into their practise and share crucial lessons they have learned in the process of building a successful career in a saturated industry”
Each student will be working on a large-scale poster inspired by the climate crisis to be printed and displayed in a city wide poster campaign as well as a public exhibition.
The full course cost is £80, but we don’t want this to be a barrier to entry. Through our funders, The Quartet Foundation, we are able to offer 3 fully funded spaces for this course. We’ve partnered with Squarespace & Pangram Pangram to give the students a year’s free website + a font pack.’
