During the period of lockdown, we have learnt to slow down and appreciate the smaller things in life. In a time of isolation, we are now more grateful than ever for our memories and can acknowledge what truly makes us happy. Many of us associate these memories with the subject of Water.
I created this Cyanotype book consisting of Visual Water Stories from 50 inspirational Women I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. I invited these Women to share their favourite moments relating to Water. These stories have proven that our experiences with Water can have a powerful impact on our lives as individuals and together. This Book was made during the period of lockdown, to find the light in a Global Pandemic and to remember the positive healing affects of our in-water experiences.
Through a series of four shorts, this project explores the concept of the ‘absurd’, specifically relating to objects and how we view them based on use. Is it possible to completely change a narrative of an object we either ignore or take for granted? These four pieces explore this question through short, bastardised adverts, that advertise products and ideas for something other than their intended purpose.
The past few years of British politics have been characterised by privatisation, deregulation of the market, austerity policies and competitiveness. These are only some of the defining characteristics of the neoliberal ideology through which policies have been implemented and continue to rule the political landscape of both sides of the Atlantic. Neoliberal policies have shaped not only the way we live but, also our society and environments. As a way of encapsulating the ideological change brought about by this ideology and its repercussions on our system, I created a sound piece mixing recorded sounds titled ‘The Market Will Regulate Itself’ as a social commentary on our current system. This is the result of a collaborative project.
I created an identity for the Women In Construction a project to make their voices heard and a way so they are able to leave their mark with the logo I designed.
Following in the footsteps of Richard Buckminster, I held a remote class and created this video to teach and educate about geodesic domes to celebrate the importance of triangles. I also designed a step by step publication that offers support along with the video.
This brief explores the circular economy and mores specifically barriers against mending and home repairs from both a consumer and economical perspective, highlighting shifts in cultural constructions and the how the global pandemic is drawing consumers attention to home crafts and repairs whilst retailers close their doors.
Hostile architecture is a type of design that is used to be discriminatory against certain members of the public, I wanted to choose this project because I wanted to not only inform what effects this kind of urban design has on society but what it can look like visually, what you are viewing right now is one of my outcomes called DISCORD, A font family that I have created that represents the defensiveness and the violence hostile architecture represents, quoted on a billboard to be shown to the public, making them think about what effects divisive can cause.

Typenowhere documents work created on the BA(Hons) Graphic Design course at The University of the West of England, at Arnolfini contemporary art gallery in Bristol. The site also acts as a student resource including current live opportunities. Located inside the Arnolfini contemporary art gallery in Bristol city centre and taught by practising graphic designers, learning takes place in a studio environment with exceptional department facilities and a real-world dynamic. The course ranks very highly in the National Student Survey (NSS). Current students are regularly shortlisted for national and international graphic design awards. The course provides excellent preparation for a creative career in the UK and abroad. Many of our graduates establish their own freelance businesses or independent design companies.
