In these times of disruption our lives have become uncertain. However, amid this negative atmosphere, it is best to realise that we are in this fight together, albeit in different ways. Locked is a publication that showcases a variety of peoples different thoughts regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. Soft Mantra is a reclamation of our softness. For too long we have neglected ourselves – choosing self-criticism over self-love. This embroidered sweatshirt aims to get the wearer to think about how they can be kinder and gentler to themselves and others, reflecting on the soft statements sewn into the sweatshirt and asking themselves if they practice these statements already.
Due to COVID-19, records show significantly higher levels of depression and anxiety, with an estimated 33 percent rate increase of symptoms than usual. Finding positivity during the pandemic can be difficult for some people and impossible for others. The content of this publication looks at the outbreak from an optimistic perspective and, hopefully, can provide a new outlook for those most impacted during this difficult time.

These are graphic props. This is a collection of sentimental ephemera the character Eliza Einsford-Hill (nee Doolittle) might have kept 5 years after the play Pigmalion and the film My Fair Lady were set. This collection from 1917 is comprised of items from 5 years ago such as some courting love letters sent by her now husband, Freddy Einsford-Hill, a newspaper cutting advertising speech lessons by Professor Henry Higgins and an invite to the Embassy Ball. This set also contains a calling card and receipt from her newly established flower shop. All these are kept safely tied up in a posh chocolate box saved from Professor Higgins’ house several years ago, when she first got a taste of upper class life.
The Hoodie is an editorial magazine designed in response to my extended study topic, where I explored the Hoodie. It explores all aspects of the Hoodie from social, cultural and historical contexts. I gathered all the content myself for a range of sources.
