CYBORG

Cyborg has been my obsession this year. In an age of rapid technological advancement, where our bonds with technology get ever closer, how long will it be before we can consider ourselves Cyborg? Or are we already there?

My pondering around the question of ‘What is Cyborg?’ and ‘What horrors does that imply?’ is key to my work.

I aim to pull psychological strings, I consider myself an absurdist. My art is my vessel to explore the dark depths of digital age anxiety along with the possible avenues of resistance to a world that is losing its sense of humanity.

The Right To Roam

This is a campaign-based project with the aim to educate and spread awareness of the Uk’s problems concerning the right to roam, particularly in Dartmoor.

I experimented with using screen print on a range of surfaces to draw attention, these being a map, handmade paper and brown natural paper stocks. My tiled posters have been inspired by OS maps with grids and contour lines and also What3Words, using three statement words on each poster.

Contrast

In this compelling photo documentary, I offer a unique perspective on the world of wealth based on my experiences as a delivery driver. From opulent high-rise apartments to humble homes, I have interacted with individuals from all walks of life. Through these experiences, I delve deep into the societal norms and cultural attitudes that shape our understanding of wealth. This thought-provoking documentary is a must-read for anyone seeking to understand the complex nature of wealth and, more importantly, the perception of wealth. It may be that wealth is not something we can compare with one another, but something much more personal.

Active Rest

A designed wooden rocking chair that uses 4 (800x500mm) sheets made from OSB board for its structure. The sides are designed in an oval shape which allows the chair to rock when assembled. The chair can be assembled by simply putting the 4 boards into one another. There is an additional maze game for the ones who want to test their skills and coordination. The “ACTIVE REST” rocking chair is produced as a reminder to hit the pause button from time to time throughout the hard-working days.
