THE FESTIVAL IS HOSTING A COMPETITION FOR 2019’S COVER ARTWORK THAT WILL BE ON THE A5 BROCHURE COVER, A5 FLYERS, POSTERS AND SOCIAL MEDIA.

WHO WE ARE

The Bristol Shakespeare Festival is run by a team of dedicated volunteers passionate about bringing the freshest, most exciting productions of Shakespeare’s plays to some of Bristol’s most beautiful and unusual spaces every summerd uring the month of July.

WHAT WE WANT

Piece of artwork that represents who we are. The brochure will be distributed around Bristol in cafes, theatres and similar venues with many other flyers and brochures to compete with so it is important that it stands out.

SUBMISSION SPECIFICATIONS

Submissions in one PDF document of a maximum size 5 MB. An applicant can only submit once. Each submission can contain a maximum of two concept ideas. Submitted ideas to be in sketch/development stage. Applicants should include a clear overview of the artwork’s development process. The PDF file should include a link to the applicant’s previous work (website or shared folder).

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The applicant should be over 18 and currently resident in Bristol.

WHAT THE WINNER GETS

The winner will get a PRIZE OF £300 plus two complimentary tickets to a performance of their choice and an invitation to the launch party. The winning artwork will be shared on our social media pages.

DEADLINES

14th April at 5 PM: deadline for initial concepts and sketches

15th April: winner will be announced

28th April at 5PM: deadline for final artwork
